Last month I was so lucky to be staying with a friend in a small village, Vallorcine, near Chamonix in the French Alps. We were blessed with great snow for skiing and snowshoeing while surrounded by stunning scenery.
When you get to the top of the ski lifts and look around you it’s exhilarating. A different sense to the achievement had we hiked up there, but I love that feeling of being on top of the world.
Earlier this year when in Montreux I walked along the shores of Lake Geneva under the threatening snow filled clouds.
Apart for its fame for hosting many festivals, the most notable being the Jazz Festival, it also has the Freddie Mercury statue and other pieces of art, including this cool dude.
