Getting around the small island of Gili Trawangan is easily done on foot. It takes 2 hours to walk around the whole island – although best done in the cooler hours. You can also hire bicycles or travel in style in their horse taxis – cidomos. They can be quite exhilarating as you trot and weave through the narrow laneways with the constant jingling of the brass bells attached to the front of the horse’s harness, and you can’t help but smile. 😁

Thanks. It was a great place, although as all places like this they become a ‘must go to’ destination, which inevitably spoils them.
