In this fragile place,
where greed talks loud.
In this beautiful place,
of moors and farmland.
In this tranquil place,
where streams run clear.
In this proud place,
where villages have stood
for centuries.
In this threatened place,
where decisions, made
in council chambers
and behind lobbyist doors,
will change it
for ever.
In Ryedale, North Yorkshire.
Why would you frack here?

Such a beautiful location! I hate the whole idea of fracking — here in Australia we are facing the same problems with the CS & G industry (fracking is known here as coal seam gas). Same thing, same dangerous practices.

Hi Kim. I’m from N Yorkshire but live in Perth, WA where they are looking into fracking too. So wrong, wrong, wrong. Let’s make sure the Liberals get voted out! Go Greens!

Beautiful words and pictures. We are fighting similar threats of fracking in our beautiful Karoo, in South Africa 😦
